Marcelle Beaulieu

Marcelle was born and raised in the North Bay area. As the wife of a banker, she travelled throughout the province and finally settled back in North Bay in 2001 to continue her own career in banking until her retirement in 2009. Marcelle and husband Rheal celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016. They have three grown children and four wonderful grandchildren.

Marcelle joined the Catholic Women’s League of Canada in 2003 and has held the posts of corresponding secretary, spiritual development and president in her parish of St. Peter the Apostle. Presently she is past president and chairperson for legislation and resolution in her council. She is also active in her parish as a reader and sits on the liturgy committee. She has spearheaded many functions in her parish including fund raising for the Kids to Costa Rica program and petitions to members of parliament on our many crucial issues.

She participated in Arise and has completed the Discovering Christ program.

Marcelle is an avid gardener and enjoys working in her many gardens even when the deer eat all the tulips. She manages to quilt and knit in her spare time. You can always find many of her projects at St. Peter’s annual tea and bazaar. She loves to travel and has joined Father Tony Man-Son-Hing on many of his wonderful pilgrimages.

She is looking forward to serving you as spiritual chairperson for the Diocese of Sault Ste Marie for the next two years. Together we will grow in faith and wisdom inspired by the Holy Spirit.
