Sault Ste Marie

Spiritual Advisor:  S. Pat Carter, csj

Pat Carter entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie in 1983 and has been a teacher for 31 years.  She taught at Mount St. Joseph College for 22 of those years and now is the Religious and Family Life Education Consultant and the Faith Animator for the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.  She served her Congregation as a Vocation Director from 1996-2005.

Pat loves to teach people to pray and has introduced Christian Meditation to the Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in the H-SCDSB schools.  It is a privilege to teach people how to deepen their relationship with God.  In her spare time she loves to read and to watch movies.  Pat serves as a cantor at the 9:00 mass at St. Jerome’s Parish where she belongs to the CWL.  

Regional Chairperson:  Christina Bot

Christina Bot’s home parish is St. Jerome Parish in Sault Ste. Marie. She has been a CWL member since 2004 and has served her CWL at the parish level as Recording Secretary, President and Past President. She was also the convenor for the funeral lunches and several teas. She is presently a Eucharist Minister and served in the past on the Hospitality Committee and worked with the decorating committee.

Christina is not originally from Sault Ste. Marie. She moved to “The Soo” 38 years ago when she married her husband, Romano. She still thinks of Webbwood as her home town. She and Romano have two children, a daughter who is married and a son.

Christina is a former teacher who spent her teaching years in Sudbury. She also attended Laurentian University in the early 1970s where she obtained her B.A. (1974) and she also has her B. Ed. (1975) from Nipissing.

Her love of knitting, doing crafts, reading, genealogy research and gardening keep her very busy.
