Education & Health

The Education & Health Committee Chairperson is responsible for:

  1. Catholic education
    1. Catholic schools and catechesis

Christian Family Life

The Christian Family Life Committee Chairperson is responsible for:

Community Life

The Community Life Committee Chairperson is responsible for:

Communications

The Communications Committee Chairperson is responsible for authoring material related to:

  1. The Canadian League magazine
  2. Media:
    1. for evangelization
    2. to promote the League
    3. evaluation and promotion of good content
    4. newsletters and bulletins
  3. Media Relations
  4. Anti-Pornography
Resolutions

The Resolutions Committee Chairperson is responsible for:

  1. Research and preparation of resolutions and briefs
  2. Study and implementation of resolutions adopted by other levels
  3. At provincial and national levels, presentation of resolutions to government
Legislation

The Legislation Committee Chairperson is responsible for:

  1. Monitoring and studying legislation at all levels of government
  2. Preparation of briefs and position papers on proposed legislation
Regional Chairpersons

The Regional Chair shall:

  1. Serve as liaison between the parish councils in her region and the diocesan council, keeping the line of communication open in both directions.
  2. Keep in close contact with the parish council presidents and deal with regional concerns.
  3. Report her activities to the diocesan president.
  4. Attend all diocesan executive meetings as the representative of the parish council presidents in her region.
  5. Hold Presidents' Meetings in the region.
  6. Chair all regional meetings.
  7. Prepare an annual report on the work in the region for the Diocesan annual report book.
  8. Prepare an oral report to be given at convention which covers work in the region since the written report as well as plans for the coming year and give a written synopsis (form 6.7) to the recording secretary.
